Personal Details

Catherine Vicki is a Western Sydney artist working across painting, photography, and textiles. Her practice draws on personal narratives of faith and the human experience, with her use of materials informed by her upbringing—her mother’s craft as a seamstress and her father’s photographic practice. Influenced by the ideas of 19th-century photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, Catherine engages with the belief that creative depth and spiritual inquiry are interconnected, shaping a practice that explores meaning through image, material, and narrative.
